Services
We provide a wide range of services for communication and swallowing needs, including NDIS participants.

Autism Spectrum
We offer a range of services to support people with Autism. From complex communication needs including AAC devices for minimally verbal clients to support with forming relationships, we have you covered. We take a
neuro-affirming approach, empowering people to be themselves whilst realising their potential.

Delayed Speech
Children should be able to say most sounds by the age of 3. Children who struggle to make themselves understood often experience frustration and difficulty in social situations. There is also evidence that they could experience more difficulty with reading and phonics when they get to school. If you think your child could benefit from speech therapy, call for a free discussion or make an appointment.

Fluency (stuttering)
At Smooth Talking Speech Pathology, we specialise in the assessment and treatment of stuttering. Whilst stuttering is a physical condition, we understand that it can come with a range of complex emotions. We offer holistic, yet evidence-based treatments to priortise your needs whilst getting you empowering results.

Literacy
Reading is a complex process requiring many skills. People with poor literacy skills can have lower educational attainment and poorer life outcomes. We support people of all ages to understand the underlying cause of difficulties with reading and provide proven techniques to help clients open the door to the wonderful world of written words!

School Readiness
School is a big change for little ones! Our school readiness programs incorporate skills that are required to ensure a successful transition to school, including basic phonics, narrative skills, play and social skills and learning to follow a structured timetable.

Mealtime Management
Although many of us take eating and drinking for granted, it can pose some difficulty and risk to those who are unable to swallow effectively. We conduct thorough mealtime assessments and formulate a mealtime management plan which balances your safety and quality of life.

Language Development
Children with delayed language development can experience frustration as they are not understood. This can lead to behavioural problems, social problems and isolation from peers. It may also have a longer lasting effect on their academic progress if left untreated. If you suspect that your child's language skills may be behind, we have fun and proven methods to help them develop effective communication skills.

Accent Modification
An accent is a sign of bravery and something to be proud of! However, if you find that you are being frequently misunderstood and can't let your true brilliance shine, we can assist.
